Dr. Elena-Sophie Prigge

Managing Director

Dr. Prigge is Managing Director and co-founder of ViMREX GmbH. She is a graduated medical doctor with a master’s degree in Health Business Administration. Dr. Prigge has many years of experience as Project Leader in the research field of applied tumor biology, especially in tumors induced by human papillomaviruses (HPV). Dr. Prigge has worked in the research group “Applied Tumor Biology” – a department of the University Hospital Heidelberg and former Clinical Cooperation Unit of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) – in numerous projects of translational research, which aims to make scientific findings applicable to the clinical practice. Her work at the interface of research and clinical application has been recognized with multiple awards and honors.

Prof. Dr. Magnus von Knebel Doeberitz

Chair of the Advisory Board

Prof. von Knebel Doeberitz is chairman of the Advisory Board and co-founder of ViMREX GmbH. He is an emeritus professor of molecular oncology and former Medical Director of the “Department of Applied Tumor Biology” at the University Hospital Heidelberg, as well as former Leader of the “Clinical Cooperation Unit Applied Tumor Biology” at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). His research is focused on the identification and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic tools in the field of HPV-induced tumors as well as tumors derived from deficiencies in the repair of DNA mismatches.

Following his medical studies, Prof. von Knebel Doeberitz worked in the group of Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Harald zur Hausen at the DKFZ. Prof. von Knebel Doeberitz serves as a scientific advisor to various pharmaceutical companies. He is a co-founder of LION Bioscience (1997) and mtm laboratories AG (1999), where he served on the Advisory Board until the company’s acquisition by Roche AG, as well as of PAICON GmbH (2021), an IT service provider in the healthcare sector.

Dr. Dietrich Bruchmann

Member of the Advisory Board

Dr. Bruchmann is member of the Advisory Board of ViMREX GmbH. From 2010 to 2024, he was the Managing Director of the Nuvisan Pharma Holding Group, a fully integrated contract research and manufacturing company supporting pharmaceutical and biotech companies, academic research institutes, and CROs in the early and clinical development of medicinal products (Drug Discovery and Drug Development).

After his doctoral studies in Chemistry at the University of Hamburg, Dr. Bruchmann held numerous positions as Director and Manager at several international companies in the fields of chemical and pharmaceutical research, development, and production, such as in Hoechst AG, Celanese, and DuPont.
